Philip Sneyd  - Podiatrist

Philip Sneyd - Podiatrist

Philip is originally from Manchester in the United Kingdom, Phil joined our team upon moving to Nova Scotia in 2013. He obtained his degree in Podiatric Medicine at the University of Huddersfield in Yorkshire, England. Prior to studying Podiatry, he studied electronic engineering, worked as a chef and  spent many years assisting individuals with specialty footwear designed to address their foot issues.
Phil enjoys the broad scope of podiatry work including:  biomechanical assessments,  skin and nail care, vascular and neurological assessment, nail surgery and plantar wart treatments.  Patients often comment about this kind and gentle manner.
In his spare time, Phil enjoys spending time outside gardening  exploring nature, partaking in various outdoor sports and travelling with his family.
Philip is a member of the Nova Scotia Podiatry Association / Canadian Podiatric Medical Association/ College of Physicians and Surgeons and is accepting new patients.

Emily Conroy - Certified Pedorthist & Bracing Specialist

Emily Conroy - Certified Pedorthist & Bracing Specialist

Emily was born and raised in Newfoundland. She moved to Nova Scotia to attend Acadia University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree and went on to complete her Pedorthic & Bracing Certification. She is a member of the Canadian Chapter of the Pedorthic Footcare Association. Emily joined our team in February 2012 and both her professional skills and her friendly personality are noticed by both her patients and co-workers.
In order to determine the best course of treatment for her patients, Emily’s assessment may include, but is not limited to: skin integrity / protective sensation / peripheral nerve integrity /  biomechanical gait analysis including temporal and spatial assessment / range of motion / muscle strength  / posture, balance and safety / proprioception.
Emily specializes in orthotics, orthopedic footwear, shoe modifications and bracing. Treating ages 5-105 years!
Although her love for Newfoundland will always remain strong, she has chosen to make Nova Scotia her permanent home. In Emily’s free time, she enjoys many outdoor activities with friends and family.
Emily is accepting new patients.

Anthony Fable  - Podiatrist

Anthony Fable - Podiatrist

Anthony has moved here from Australia to join our team.   He obtained his Masters in Podiatry from Latrobe University in Australia. Anthony decided to become a podiatrist after spending time with a podiatrist for rehabilitation for a broken leg, ankle & foot in a sporting incident. Prior to studying podiatry, Anthony played Australian Football competitively for 18 years and played professionally for 12 months. Sporting injuries are a large part of any athlete’s journey and can potentially be career jeopardizing. Having spent extended periods of time with international sports podiatrists, orthopaedic surgeons and even physiotherapists, Anthony has developed a keen sense for developing rehabilitation programs (with a few Aussie tips and tricks) unique to a vast array or foot and ankle injuries from a variety of sports & from the innocuous incidences!
Anthony has a very patient centered approach and enjoys working in collaboration with other health professionals. He enjoys a broad scope of podiatry work including:  bio-mechanical assessments skin and nail care, vascular and neurological assessment, nail surgery and plantar wart treatments.
Anthony comes from a large Italian family and loves meeting new people.

Colleen O'Reilly - Clinic Operations Manager

Colleen O'Reilly - Clinic Operations Manager

Colleen was born and raised in St. John’s, NL, and has a Bachelor of Commerce from Memorial University.  After graduating, Colleen moved to Halifax where she started her career in Retail Management.  For the past 20 years, Colleen has worked mostly in Human Resources and Operations Management, and is thrilled to be bringing her experience and leadership to Comfort Orthotics and Podiatry Clinic.
In her spare time, Colleen enjoys reading, travelling, volunteering in the community, being a hockey mom and spending time with family and friends.

Leah Rutledge - Admin / Shoe Fitter

Leah has well over 12 years experience working in health and wellness and will ensure you have a pleasant experience at our clinic. She will assist you with scheduling appointments, insurance claims, etc. Leah always enjoys outdoor activities and is co leader of a local nature club for kids and their families. She loves to cook, canoe, hike and look for wildflowers especially since her three children love to lead the way.

Cathie joins our team with over 15 years experience in customer service and retail management. This experience makes her a perfect fit for our team. Her pleasant demeanor and willingness to help is evident when patients come into the clinic. Cathie has a great interest in health and fitness. In her time off she can be found in the gym or running in races around the province.

Makayla is from Halifax and studied Medical Office Administration at NSCC.  She brings with her four years of customer service, retail experience as a supervisor, and has experience in the healthcare industry. She is excited to be part of a team where the  main focus is to help people. Both coworkers and customers enjoy her pleasant demeanor. In her spare time, Makayla enjoys travelling, spends time with family and friends and watching movies.

Benoit (Ben) Gravel - Lab Supervisor

Benoit (Ben) Gravel - Lab Supervisor

Ben is from Knowlton, Quebec and joined our clinic in 2022. He moved to Halifax in 2013 and worked for a number of years as a multidisciplinary artist technical director in the theatre industry. Ben’s hands on experience lends well to the orthotic training he is provided here at the clinic, and we are pleased to have him on our team. In his spare time Ben paints, plays music, and dedicates most of his free time to fitness, yoga, and pro wrestling.

Natasha (Shebib) Pieroway - Owner

Natasha (Shebib) Pieroway - Owner

Natasha is the daughter of former owners and co-founders, Tom and Lisa Shebib. She purchased the business from her parents in November 2024 and is excited to continue operating the now 5th generation family business. She earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree at McGill University in Montreal in 2011 and since then has worked managing start-up businesses. After gaining valuable experience in all aspects of operating businesses, she is ready to work with the amazing team at Comfort Orthotics and Podiatry to continue growing while ensuring that customer service remains the #1 priority. In her spare time she can be found chasing around her 3 year old son, spending time with family and friends, camping & cooking.
